About the Amy Lianne

The Amy Lianne is a 1977 O'Day Mariner Sailboat.  The hull number is 3533 and it was built by the Bangor Punta Company, who purchased the O'Day Company in 1966.  The hull design is based on the Rhodes 19.  It was produced at the height of the fiberglass production boats and is extremely solid.  Although there is some wood reinforcement on the deck, the hull of the boat is hand-laid fiberglass without a core.

When originally purchased, the boat was named "The Fox" after it's owner's last name.  There is some evidence that it was named prior, but I was unable to decipher the remnants on the transom.

It has now been christened the Amy Lianne and it is named after my daughter.
